The Students of classes 3, 4 and 5 of Birla High School took part in an Inter-House Quiz Competition called Quizosphere hosted by Shivaji House. It was an exciting morning as the boys witnessed a competitive session of inter-house quizzing in their very own renovated school auditorium.The Competition began with a prayer song ‘Asto Ma Sadgamay’ to seek the blessings of the Lord followed by our Co-Curricular Co-Ordinator’s address to the participating teams declaring the quiz meet open. Thereafter the quiz master highlighted the rules and the score structure to be followed for each round of the competition. There were 5 rounds namely direct round, audio round, video round, connection round and rapid fire round respectively. There were 3 participants (1 each from 3, 4 and 5) representing each of the 6 houses of the school. We had our very own Shivaji House teacher and student as the timekeeper who very efficiently made sure to keep the pace and time of each round of the competition going smoothly. The participants answered each round with full confidence and zest. They were quick in answering and gave their 100% to make their house proud. To cheer and motivate our participants constantly, there was an audience full of students from classes 3, 4 and 5 along with their respective class teachers and subject teachers.They patiently supported their respective houses and class peers with loud roars of applause. The teachers and students in the audience were lucky to win a treat or two for answering questions pitched at them. After a gruelling hour of dodging minus marks, tricky questions and keeping up with the timer, the competition ended and the best team won. Tagore House emerged the Super Winner with103 points followed closely by Pratap House scoring 90 points and Netaji house reaching behind with 80 points.It was truly a tough competition with moments of Oh yes!!! and oh no!!! But nevertheless, the boys emerged victorious and enjoyed the journey of participating in the event. The event ended with a lovely vote of thanks said by Nikit Goyal Class VD of Shivaji House. The students of class 3, 4 and 5 left the auditorium with a head full of knowledge and a heart full of hope for the next Quizosphere.
