Topic: World Heritage Site -Sunderbans (Flora and Fauna)
Partner School: Kun Shan Elementary School, Taiwan
ACTIVITY: Students made a model of Sunderbans housewise in 2 consecutive ABL Classes. The model was made using recycled materials collaborately by the children which they used during role play. This activity was conducted to sensitize children about the climatic condition, the type of soil and trees, endangered animals and other animals found over there. Few children spoke about Sunderbans being recognized as a heritage site by UNESCO. A PPT on Royal Bengal Tigers, pictures and a video has been shared with the partner school. The partner school will be conducting activities based on the same and previous activity after September.
