Activity 1: Students researched the various ways of rainwater harvesting practiced in India, both in ancient and modern times. They wrote about the importance of such conservation methods in their exercise books.
Each class placed a small bucket in the garden or ground during the rainy season to collect rainwater. The collected water was reused to water indoor plants.
They shared their research findings and the special initiative of practicing rainwater harvesting at school with their partner school. The partner school was encouraged to share their own water harvesting methods and practices.
